Okinawa man arrested over fatal stabbing of ex-girlfriend despite restraining order

OKINAWA (TR) – Okinawa Prefectural Police have arrested a 25-year-old unemployed man on suspicion of murdering his former girlfriend, who was fatally stabbed last month despite him being under a restraining order, reports NHK (Oct. 8).

Hibiki Nakamura is accused of using a bladed weapon to kill 23-year-old Rin Zamami at a residential complex in Ginowan City on September 30.

According to police, Nakamura had been issued a prohibition order under the Stalking Control Law in February, which legally barred him from approaching or following the victim.
