Drunk Chiba executive arrested for breaking female police officer’s nose

CHIBA (TRR) – Police in Matsudo City have arrested a self-styled company executive for allegedly assaulting a female police officer and breaking her nose after a drunken taxi ride, reports Nippon News Network (July 12).

Early on the morning of July 11, police responded to a call from a taxi driver who reported that an intoxicated passenger had fallen asleep in his vehicle and could not be roused in front of his residence.

When the female police officer arrived at the scene and attempted to wake him, the suspect, identified as Shigenobu Osanai, allegedly lunged at her.

Police say Osanai suddenly grabbed the officer and began beating her in the street, punching her in the face and inflicting severe injuries, including a fractured nasal bone.

The officer suffered injuries that will require 3 weeks to heal, police said.

Upon his arrest, Osanai vehemently denied the charges.

“The allegations are completely baseless,” the suspect told police. “Given my personality, I would absolutely never be the first one to throw a punch.”
