TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police last week arrested a 29-year-old man for allegedly advising an IT company executive on how to dispose of a murdered colleague’s body using a chainsaw, reports Jiji Press (June 18).
Police arrested Hayato Suzuki, a resident of Sapporo City, Hokkaido Prefecture, for his role in the aftermath of the murder of 54-year-old Takeshi Kamiyama.
In connection with the case, police have also re-arrested 49-year-old Katsuya Mizuguchi, a fellow executive at the same IT company. Mizuguchi, who was initially apprehended on suspicion of abandoning a corpse, is now facing a charge of murder.
During police questioning, Suzuki admitted to the allegations. Mizuguchi, however, is currently remaining silent.

Hitman
As previously reported, Mizuguchi is the president of the Akasaka-based IT company Linux Japan. Kamiyama, who was a board member, went missing on September 28, 2025.
According to investigative sources, the bizarre connection between Mizuguchi and Suzuki began when Mizuguchi posted a request on social media looking to hire a hitman in June of last year.
They began communicating via a highly secure messaging app. Mizuguchi reportedly told Suzuki, “If he is not killed by 28th September, the company will be taken over. My bank PIN will be changed.”
“I killed him myself”
Mizuguchi then commissioned Suzuki to kill Kamiyama and sent him electronic money as preparation money for the execution, but then contacted him saying, “I killed him myself,” and “The body is too heavy to carry.”
In response, Suzuki allegedly provided Mizuguchi with detailed instructions on how to dismember the body using a chainsaw. He also advised him to transport the corpse in a rental car.
The electronic money received by Suzuki, including payments under the guise of “penalty fees,” totaled approximately 5.4 million yen across 103 transactions. During voluntary questioning prior to his arrest, he reportedly confessed that he had been defrauding people of money by posing as a “jack-of-all-trades” on social media.
On May 29, Kamiyama’s torso was discovered in a duffle bag dumped in a mountainous forest in Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
