TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested the 55-year-old director of an acupuncture clinic in Shinjuku Ward for allegedly committing indecent acts against a female client during a treatment, reports TBS News (June 18).
Noboru Miyamoto is accused of touching the breasts and lower body of a woman in her 30s in August of last year, according to police.
Investigators allege Miyamoto invited the woman to the clinic after regular business hours to ensure they were alone. While persistently groping her, he reportedly justified his actions by telling her, “Your lymph fluid is building up,” and “You can become even cuter.”

Upon his arrest on suspicion of non-consensual indecency, Miyamoto opted to remain silent. “I don’t know which patient this is about, so I will remain silent,” he reportedly told investigators.
Miyamoto has already been arrested and indicted for sexually assaulting another woman in her 30s. During a search of his property, police confiscated a tablet device containing a diary that recorded his indecent acts against multiple female customers.
Police are continuing their investigation to determine the full extent of his crimes, believing there are several other victims.
