TOKYO (TR) – Prosecutors last week announced the non-prosecution of a deceased 36-year-old woman who had been accused in the murders of her three sons and a male acquaintance late last year, reports Nippon News Network (June 5).
Yuka Nomura was accused of fatally stabbing 27-year-old Shintaro Nakakubo multiple times in the abdomen in December at an apartment she rented in Nerima Ward. After the killing, she allegedly stuffed his corpse into a closet.
Days after disposing of Nakakubo’s body, Nomura is suspected of murdering her three sons, aged between 9 and 16, at their home in Nishitokyo City.

On June 5, the Tachikawa branch of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office announced the non-prosecution of Nomura for murder and abandoning a corpse due to her death.
The case came to light in December when the bodies of the woman and her three children were discovered at the Nishitokyo residence in an apparent murder-suicide. The ensuing investigation led police to the Nerima Ward apartment, where Nakakubo’s hidden remains were found.
