TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a male company employee for secretly filming a woman while she was taking a bath, with the suspect admitting he visited the victim’s residence hundreds of times, reports Nippon News Network (May 29).
According to police, Fukushi Mashio is accused of slipping his smartphone through the bathroom window of a residence in Adachi Ward earlier in 2024 to take tosatsu (voyeur) footage of the woman as she bathed.
During police questioning, Mashio admitted to the allegations. “I saw the bathroom light on and was driven by the urge to peek,” he was quoted as saying. “I went to the victim’s house about 200 times over two years.”

Mashio had already been in custody following a previous arrest for trespassing at the same property. Investigators uncovered the voyeuristic videos after analyzing a smartphone confiscated during that arrest.
Police are continuing its investigation into the extent of Mashio’s stalking and voyeurism.
