TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a 29-year-old male photographer on suspicion of sexually assaulting a teenage actress at his residence in Shinagawa Ward earlier this year, reports the Sankei Shimbun (May).
Kaiyu Goto is accused of sexually assaulting the teen, whose name has been withheld, at his home studio in the Yutakacho area on the night of March 19.
During police questioning on suspicion of sexual assault, Goto denied the allegations, the Oi Police Station said.
According to police, the victim, who works as an actress, had used social media to solicit a photographer to shoot her professional profile pictures. Goto replied to her post and was subsequently hired for the job.
Following an outdoor photo session, the pair relocated to a studio inside Goto’s residence. Police allege that the suspect assaulted the teen while they were taking a break from the shoot.
