HOKKAIDO (TR) – Hokkaido Prefectural Police arrested a 56-year-old American woman over the weekend after she refused to leave her hotel room in Sapporo City, reports Nippon News Network (Mar. 16).

According to the Sapporo Chuo Police Station, the unnamed woman refused to leave her hotel room in Chuo Ward between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. This was despite repeated orders by hotel staff to leave the premises.

Upon her arrest, the woman denied the allegations. She said, “I will not answer any questions.”

According to the police, the woman was a hotel guest who checked in around 2:00 a.m. the same day. She was supposed to check out at 11:00 a.m. However, she did not leave her room by that time.
