CHIBA (TR) – Chiba Prefectural Police have arrested three employees of a construction company over the alleged fatal assault of a fourth employee at a dormitory in Nagareyama City two years ago, reports Nippon News Network (Mar. 11).
In August 2024, Toshiki Maeda, the 34-year-old representative director of Maeda Kogyo, Hisashi Miyazono, 37, and one other employee are alleged to have assaulted and killed employee Nobuo Adachi, 39, by punching him in the back and other parts of his body in a unit of the employee dormitory.
Police have not revealed whether the three suspects have admitted to the charges.

The three suspects were living with Adachi at the time of the assault.
The results of an autopsy revealed that Adachi died due to hemorrhagic shock caused by damage to his spleen. He was also found to have suffered broken bones, which led police to investigate the possibility that the three men may have been violent towards him on a daily basis.
Police first arrested the suspects on suspicion of assault and coercion last month.
