TOCHIGI (TR) – Tochigi Prefectural Police have arrested the male director of an after-school care facility who is suspected of abusing around one dozen children, reports TBS News (Feb. 10).
From July to October of last year, Yuji Tashiro, 35, is suspected of committing indecent acts against a male child under the age of 13 at the facility in Otawara City.
Upon his arrest, Tashiro denied the charges. He said, “I do not remember.”

Last month, police arrested Tashiro for allegedly groping another boy.
According to Otawara City, the boy’s elementary school reported “suspected acts of abuse” in December of last year and contacted police.
Police believe that more than 10 children at the after-school care facility were victimized by Tashiro. The investigation is ongoing.
