TOKYO (TR) – Toho Entertainment, the agency representing actress Masami Nagasawa, on Sunday posted a notice on its official website regarding privacy infringement by certain media outlets.
Nagasawa, 38, announced her marriage to film director Takeshi Fukunaga on New Year’s Day. According to Toho, certain media outlets have engaged in “excessive reporting practices.”
The agency wrote, “In connection with Masami Nagasawa’s marriage announcement on New Year’s Day this year, we have confirmed that the privacy of Nagasawa, her family, friends, and acquaintances has been invaded due to excessive reporting practices by certain media outlets, causing great mental burden and fear.”
The agency continued, “We ask that you kindly refrain from unexpected interviews or visits with Nagasawa herself, her partner, her family and related parties. If such behavior continues, we will be forced to consider appropriate measures.”
Finally, the message said, “If you have any inquiries regarding this matter, please contact our advertising and public relations department. We would appreciate your continued support so that we can continue to have a better relationship in the future.”
