Over a two-year period, Yoshiaki Shibata, a resident of Funabashi City, is alleged to have confined the woman, 45, at an apartment and delivered her to approximately 150 men for illicit encounters at a rate of 10,000 yen per session. The suspect kept the collected fees for himself.
“Because I like sleeping with other women, I enjoyed letting other men have her,” police quoted Shibata, who admitted to violating the Anti-Prostitution Law. The suspect, however, denied confining the victim.
Through postings on Internet bulletin boards, the suspect arranged for the woman to meet customers at hotels and the Fudo no Yu onsen in Nasushiobara City, Tochigi Prefecture. The mixed-bathing hot springs was shut down last week due to complaints about bathers repeatedly engaging in group sex and the shooting of adult video films.
According to TV Asahi (June 9), Shibata was able to carry out the crimes by beating the woman and threatening to release naked images of her.
