Two women found collapsed and bleeding at Osaka apartment later die

OSAKA (TR) – Osaka Prefectural Police launched an investigation after two women found collapsed and bleeding at an apartment in a building in Izumi City on Wednesday later died, reports TV Asahi (Apr. 9).

At around 12:30 p.m., a relative of the occupants of the unit called emergency services. “A woman is lying on the floor bleeding,” the caller said.

According to the police, officers who arrived at the scene found two adult women bleeding profusely in the living room of the apartment. They were confirmed dead at the scene.

A nearby resident said, “I saw one of them being carried away on a stretcher. Her upper body [around her chest] was bright red. Maybe it was blood.”

A woman in her 70s and her daughter in her 40s live in the apartment. The male relative who made the call said he couldn’t contact the two women. When he visited the apartment, he made the discovery.

Police believe the bodies are those of the mother and her daughter. They are working to confirm their identities. They are also investigating the circumstances that led to the incident, which is being considered the result of foul play.

The building is located in an area lined with housing complexes, approximately 1 kilometer southeast of Kita-Shinoda Station on the JR Hanwa Line.
