GUNMA (TR) – A male teacher at a private middle and high school has been arrested for allegedly stealing women’s underwear that was drying on a clothesline at a house in the town of Itakura.
The man arrested on suspicion of theft is Masao Hatori, a teacher at a private middle and high school in Tochigi Prefecture.
According to the police, Hatori is suspected of stealing two pieces of women’s underwear that were drying on a clothesline at a house in Itakura at around 12:30 p.m. on April 16.
Upon his arrest, Hatori admitted to the allegations, police said.
The incident came to light when the resident of the house called to police to report that “a suspicious man ran away from the property.”
Police officers then patrolled the area and found Hatori.
Hatori was absent from work on the day of the incident.
