TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a part-time instructor at Seijo Junior and Senior High School in Shinjuku Ward for allegedly performing obscene acts on a female high school student he met on a social-networking service (SNS).
On July 9 last year, Yosuke Tatsuno, 45, allegedly paid 10,000 yen to a 17-year-old high school student at a different school for performing obscene acts on her in a private room at an internet cafe in Nishi-Ikebukuro, Toshima Ward while knowing that she was under 18 years old.
Upon his arrest on suspicion of violating the Child Prostitution and Pornography Prohibition Act, Tatsuno denied the allegations. “I have no recollection [of the matter],” he told police.
Prior to the incident, the girl posted on an SNS site, “Is there anyone who wants to meet?” Tatsuno later responded, suggesting they meet in Ikebukuro.
“I’m interested in younger women, and I met with about 100 women in their teens to 30s through social media,” Tatsuno said during police questioning.
In addition to teaching, Tatsuno runs a magic-themed restaurant. On the web site for the restaurant, he says, “Everything is magic” and “Everything is real.” He also performs magic tricks in an introductory video.
Police are continuing the investigation.
