Shibuya co. president accused in second case of sexually abusing school girl

TOKYO (TR) – The 51-year-old former president of an entertainment company in custody over the alleged sexual assault of an underage girl and the sale of the footage of the incident has been accused in a second case, reports the Mainichi Shimbun (Jan. 29).

In the latest allegations, Akira Awazu, the former president of Kakeru Entertainment, a company in Shibuya Ward that manages celebrity fan club, allegedly filmed a 12-year-old girl in lewd clothing and positions at an apartment in Higashigotanda, Shinagawa Ward in early February 2024.

Upon his arrest on suspicion of violating the the Child Pornography Prohibition Act and non-consensual indecency, Awazu declined to comment, police said.

Awazu is believed to have met the victim on a social networking site and paid her 10,000 yen in compensation.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the girl said, “I was embarrassed and didn’t want to do it, but I couldn’t say no.”

Awazu was previously arrested for filming lewd acts with a middle school girl and selling the footage as an adult video.

During the initial investigation, police found approximately 1,700 obscene videos on a hard drive seized during the investigation. The second girl was seen in once of those videos.
