SAITAMA (TR) – Saitama Prefectural Police have arrested a restaurant employee for allegedly sexually assaulting and injuring a woman in her 20s inside a vehicle, reports Nippon News Network (Oct. 21).
Takaaki Mukaiyama is accused of attacking the woman, an acquaintance, inside a car parked at his residence in Misato City during the early hours of October 10. According to police, the victim sustained injuries to her face and hands during the assault.
Investigators revealed that after finishing his shift at the restaurant, Mukaiyama offered the woman a ride home. Once she was inside the vehicle, he allegedly coerced her by threatening, “I have a knife,” before committing the assault.
Upon questioning, Mukaiyama partially denied the charges. “There are parts that differ from the facts,” the suspect told investigators.
