HOKKAIDO (TR) – Hokkaido Prefectural Police launched an investigation after a fully nude man found collapsed inside a park in Ebetsu City on Saturday later died.
At around 6:15 a.m., police received a call reporting that “someone who appeared to be a young man had collapsed” at Bunkyodaiminamicho Park, reports the Yomiuri Shimbun (Oct. 26).
Emergency personnel arriving at the scene found the man unconscious on the park’s walkway. He had multiple bruises all over his body.
The man was taken to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead, the Ebetsu Police Station said.
According to police and other sources, the man is believed to be in his late teens or early twenties. No identification was found on him.
Police are currently searching for witnesses and checking security camera footage. As the man showed signs of having been beaten, police suspect that the case is the result of foul play.
