IBARAKI (TR) – Ibaraki Prefectural Police launched an investigation after a woman found collapsed at her home in Mito City on Wednesday later died, reports NHK (Jan. 1).
At around 7:30 p.m., a man reported finding his wife, 31, collapsed and bleeding at the entrance of their apartment in Kakaraicho.
The woman was taken to a hospital where she was later confirmed dead, police said.
According to police, the deceased was a nail artist. She had suffered a stab wound to the neck.
No signs of a struggle were found near the scene. Police are treating the case as the result of foul play.
The incident occurred in a residential area approximately 1 kilometer northwest of the Mito Interchange on the Joban Expressway.
