Four bodies pulled from Kanagawa sea; police probe footage showing person plunging from bridge

KANAGAWA (TR) – Police here are investigating after the bodies of four people, including two young girls, were pulled from the sea in the town of Manazuru on Tuesday, reports TBS News (June 2).

The discoveries began around 6:00 a.m. when a male passerby alerted authorities, reporting to emergency dispatchers that a “woman is floating in the sea.”

According to police and fire officials, the bodies of two individuals, believed to be young girls, were found off Kotogahama beach. Meanwhile, an adult woman was discovered floating near Manazuru Port. All three were retrieved from the water but were subsequently confirmed dead.

Shortly before noon, the body of an adult male was also discovered floating near the Iwa Fishing Port.

Nearby security cameras captured disturbing footage of a person leaping from a bridge into the sea below.

Police are investigating the possibility of a family murder-suicide. Investigators are currently working to identify the victims and determine the exact connection between the bridge plunge and the four deaths.
