KANAGAWA (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police have arrested two men, including a former martial arts fighter, for allegedly sexually assaulting and attempting to assault two teenage girls at a beach house in Fujisawa City, reports Nippon News Network (July 15).
Takanori Amano, once a participant in the popular underground martial arts event BreakingDown, is accused of attempting to sexually assault an 18-year-old woman in August of last year, according to police.
Arrested alongside him was Yuki Maeda, a self-proclaimed live streamer. Maeda faces charges of sexually assaulting a high school girl who was also visiting the seaside venue.
According to investigators, the two suspects were sharing a private room at the beach house with the victims, whom they had met for the first time that day. Police allege the men targeted the girls the moment they were isolated one-on-one, either inside or just outside the rented room.
During police questioning, both Amano and Maeda denied the allegations against them.
Amano is known for his previous appearances on BreakingDown, a highly viewed mixed martial arts event famous for its one-minute bouts and controversial brawling contestants.
