TOKYO (TR) – Police in Musashino City have arrested a man in his 50s after he allegedly stabbed a female employee multiple times inside a so-called “girl’s bar” establishment on Sunday, reports TV Asahi (May 18).
At around 8:00 p.m., emergency services received a call reporting that a female worker had been stabbed by a customer at an adult entertainment business in the Kichijoji-Minamicho area.
Referred to as a girl’s bar, the establishment provides services similar to those on offer at a hostess club.
According to police, the suspect had just received services from the woman, who is in her 20s. While the two were still alone inside a private room, the man allegedly produced a knife with a 6-centimeter blade and stabbed her multiple times in the neck and back.
The victim was immediately transported to a hospital. Her injuries are not considered life-threatening, police said.
As the incident unfolded, a male employee heard the woman’s screams, rushed to the scene and managed to subdue the suspect until police arrived.
Officers arrested the man on the spot on suspicion of inflicting bodily injury.
Police are currently investigating the circumstances and motive leading up to the violent attack.
