CHIBA (TR) – Chiba Prefectural Police have arrested a 76-year-old man from Chiba City over the alleged sexual assault of an elementary school girl, reports TV Asahi (Apr. 2).
The suspect, Hiroshi Kasuya, of no known occupation, is suspected of sexually assaulting the girl in an apartment in the prefecture last August.
During questioning, Kasuya partially denied the charges. He said, “Most of it is correct, but there are some inaccuracies.”
According to the police, Kasuya and the girl knew each other. Police received information about the incident from someone connected to the girl in December.
Police are now investigating the circumstances that led to the incident.
