TOKYO (TR) — A 28-year-old public middle school teacher here has been rearrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage girl and recording the encounter on his smartphone, reports Nippon News Network (Apr. 21).
Wataru Yamaguchi, a resident of Sumida Ward, is accused of sexually assaulting the teen inside his former apartment in Katsushika Ward sometime in 2024.
During the non-consensual act, the educator allegedly used his smartphone to film the victim, saving the explicit footage to his device.
Upon questioning on suspicion of non-consensual sexual intercourse and illegal filming of sexual imagery, Yamaguchi admitted to the allegations.

The case unraveled in January when the victim attempted to cut ties with Yamaguchi by blocking his account on the messaging app Line.
Furious at being ignored, Yamaguchi allegedly lashed out, sending her a threatening message that read: “I am going to post the obscene pictures on the internet right now.”
The digital threat prompted the terrified girl’s guardians to contact police. Yamaguchi was quickly apprehended and subsequently indicted on charges of criminal intimidation.
On Monday, police slapped the disgraced teacher with the latest additional charges.
Police are continuing to analyze the seized digital evidence and are investigating the full extent of his crimes.
