Officers took Masaharu Yamamoto, 54, into custody for paying a 17-year-old girl a total of 110,000 yen for three illicit encounters at hotels in Tokyo in August — a violation of child prostitution and pornography laws.
Yamamoto met the girl at a so-called joshi kosei (high-school girl) “reflexology” parlor in the Ikebukuro area. At such an establishment, male customers are able to converse with the female attendants in private rooms. For additional charges, the patrons may receive massages and kisses.
According to Fuji News Network (Dec. 11), the encounters occurred after Yamamoto chose to proceed on dates outside the shop with the girl, referred to as osanpo (to take a walk).
The victim reportedly earned 400,000 yen in income each month.
