TOKYO (TR) – A teenage boy was hit and killed after jumping onto railway tracks at a station in Meguro Ward in a suspected suicide, police said on Sunday, reports Nippon News Network (Mar. 6).

At around 8:20 p.m., the boy was struck and killed by a train on the Tokyu Toyoko Line as it passed through Yutenji Station.

Based on belongings found at the scene, the boy is believed to be 14 years old and living in Tokyo.

An examination of security camera footage by police showed the boy jumping into the path of the train, which was traveling from Motomachi-Chukagai Station in Kanagawa Prefecture to Kotesashi Station in Saitama Prefecture.
