TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Thursday announced the re-arrest of a 27-year-old man believed to be behind the molestation of multiple women in Edogawa Ward, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Mar. 25).

Just after midnight on February 29, Yuto Horiuchi approached a woman in her 40s on a road as she returned home and fondled her body.

Horiuchi, who has been charge with indecent assault, admits to the allegations. “I targeted docile women,” the suspect is quoted by police, according to TV Asahi (Mar. 25). “After drinking, I can’t resist.”

Horiuchi became a person of interest for police after an examination of a security camera footage taken at a building stairwell near the scene of the crime revealed a suspicious person meeting his description. Earlier this month, a police patrol apprehended the suspect in a similar case.

Police suspect that Horiuchi has participated in a number of other similar incidents that have taken place in the same area since last month.
