TOKYO (TR) – Two men allegedly threatened another man before chasing him down and snatching his bag on a street in Shinjuku Ward early Sunday morning.

Maeda, who has been charged with robbery, admits to the charges, telling police he “did it because I ran out of money.” Yoshinaga is denying the same allegations.

The pair told the victim to “hand over 10,000 yen” before chasing him down after he fled, grabbing his chest and and saying, “You understand, right? You’re going to leave us with no choice but to overpower you.”
