TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a 40-year-old man for allegedly molesting a woman at an apartment building in Koto Ward, reports Fuji News Network (Mar. 14).

On the evening of February 27, Hideki Seki, a company employee from Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture, grabbed the woman, aged in her 20s, from behind inside an elevator of the building and held her mouth shut. He then forcibly fondled her chest.

Seki, who has been charged with indecent assault, denies the charges, telling police he “was drunk and does not remember the incident,” according to Nippon News Network (Mar. 14).

About 15 minutes before the incident, another woman was grabbed from behind at an apartment in nearby Sumida Ward and molested by an unknown person. Police are investigating whether the incidents are related.
