TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Friday announced the raid of a pachinko parlor operating illegally in Bunkyo Ward, reports Nippon News Network (July 3) .
Officers arrested Hideki Miyauchi, the 41-year-old manager of parlor B-Heart, located in the Yushima district and employees Satoshi Nakaeda, 44, and Hiro Seizan, 53, for allowing customers to wager on 32 high-return pachisuro (pachinko slot) machines considered illegal.
Seizan has reportedly admitted to the allegations. “I thoroughly realize that it was an illegal business,” the suspect is quoted by police, according to TV Asahi (July 3).
Police also arrested four male customers inside the premises at the time of the raid.
B-Heart was licensed as an eating and drinking business. To monitor customers entering and leaving the parlor, an intercom system and surveillance camera was installed at its entrance doors.
