TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Friday announced the arrest of the president of a talent agency in Shibuya Ward for the alleged rape of a prospective model last year, reports the Sankei Shimbun (June 12).
On the evening of October 15, Kenichi Ishii, the 34-year-old head of a company operating the fashion site Sweets Selection, is alleged to have forcibly taken the woman, 20, to his apartment and sexually assaulted her after they dined out together.
Ishii, who has been charged with rape, has reportedly denied the allegations, telling police that he thought his acts were done with her consent.
One month before the incident, the suspect approached the woman near JR Harajuku Station about a modeling career while using the name “Ken Suzuki.”
Police are now investigating Ishii regarding his participation in other crimes, according to TBS News (June 12).
