TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police earlier this week arrested the Nigerian manager of a night club in the Roppongi entertainment area who had fled Japan last year, reports TV Asahi (June 5).

The suspect told officers that the reason for his desertion was a stomach ulcer. “I was going to die,” he is quoted by police.

On Monday, officers from the Azabu Police Station arrested the manager at Narita International Airport.

“I was prepared for my arrest,” the suspect is quoted by police.”I now plan to open a hostess club.”
