KANAGAWA (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police have arrested a 27-year-old man who is suspected of sexually assaulting a female high school senior on the same train over three consecutive days, reports TBS News (Apr. 16).
At around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Yu Nakamura, a part-time worker from Zama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, is suspected of sexually assaulting the 17-year-old senior, including touching her lower body, as she commuted to school on an Odakyu Line train.
During questioning on suspicion of non-consensual sexual intercourse, Nakamura partially denied the charges. He said, “I did touch her lower body, but I didn’t do it intentionally.”
According to the police, Nakamura was apprehended by the student after she grabbed his arm. A station employee then called police.
Nakamura has confessed to targeting the same female student for three consecutive days leading up to the incident. He reportedly said, “I saw her on the station platform and she was my type.”
