Aomori cops seek help finding girl, 17, who went missing in August

AOMORI (TR) – After the disappearance of a 17-year-old girl over one month ago, Aomori Prefectural Police are seeking the help of the public in determining her whereabouts in what is a criminal investigation, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Oct. 6).

On Thursday, police released images showing Natsumi Murakami, a second-year high school student, who disappeared after leaving her residence in Towada City between 10:00 am. and 11:00 a.m. on August 28. The day before, she told a family member that she would go to meet a friend.

Murakami stands approximately 160 centimeters. On the day she left her residence, she was wearing red, white and black pants and blue athletic shoes. She is shown in the photos to have long, dark hair.
