TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a 52-year-old man in the assault of a female employee of an out-call sex service last month in Taito Ward, reports TBS News (Aug. 16).
On July 15, Masa Miyane, a company employee from Chiba Prefecture, allegedly shoved the woman, a 27-year-old Chinese national, inside a love hotel and stole her handbag.
Miyane denies the charges. “She stole my mobile phone and we got into a fight,” the suspect is quoted by police.
Just prior to the incident, the woman was in the shower. Once the victim noticed her bag had been taken, she jostled with Miyane, who fled the scene. The suspect then left the bag at the front desk desk once he realized it did not contain any money.
Miyane became a person of interest after police examined his mobile phone, which was found at the hotel.
