TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have busted a specialty hostess club in Shinjuku Ward for licensing violations, reports TBS News (Dec. 1).

On early Tuesday morning, police raided bar Call, located in the Yotsuya area, and arrested manager Saeko Asakura, 24, for employing hostesses to serve customers without a license under the Law Regulating Adult Entertainment Businesses.

Asakura admits to the allegations, according to the Yotsuya Police Station.

Call is a so-called “girl’s bar,” which is an establishment licensed for drinking but offers services nearly equivalent to that of an adult-entertainment club.

The bar is popular with salarymen since it is open everyday of the year until 5:00 a.m., police said.
