IBARAKI (TR) – As a part of an investigation into the illegal activities of a sex service, Ibaraki Prefectural Police on Tuesday announced the arrest of a tutor for soliciting sex from an underage prostitute who was once his student, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Aug. 25).
In January, Masaki Nabari, a 33-year-old tutor from Chiba Prefecture, went to a hotel in Tsuchiura City with the girl while she was employed as a prostitute from “delivery health” business Legend.
Nabari, who has been charged with violating child prostitution and pornography laws, admits to having sex with the girl, a 15-year-old middle school student but denies making payment of any kind.
In the same case, police have also arrested Koichi Ebihara, a 32-year-old teacher from Ibaraki. He also admits to engaging in sex with the girl but claims he did not know she was underage.
Between August of 2013 and December of last year, Nabari served as the girl’s tutor. During that period, he frequently pressured her into engaging in sex with. She subsequently ran away from home and began working at Legend. The suspect then located the girl’s place of work and continued to force her into providing sex.
In March, police arrested the manager of Legend, 25-year-old Kentaro Abe, on charges on charges of prostitution for allegedly providing customers to the girl on approximately 500 occasions between December of last year and March.
Legend advertised the girl’s services on deai-kei matchmaking sites at rates that ranged between 10,000 and 40,000 yen per session. The girl, who lived at the shop’s office, was compensated between 2,000 and 3,000 yen. Sales attributed to her averaged 1.8 million yen per month.
