TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Thursday announced the bust of an adult video (AV) company known for its rotund female performers for staffing prostitution clubs, reports Sports Nippon (Oct. 17).
On Tuesday, officers took Nao Kakisako, the 35-year-old manager of the AV company, located in Kanagawa Prefecture, into custody for dispatching a 20-year-old actress to prostitution club Mucchi (Plump) in September — a violation of the Employment Security Act regarding harmful business introductions.
The suspect is alleged to have also dispatched actresses to club Glamorous Diva, also located in Taito Ward. Both clubs reportedly featured prostitutes weighing over 90 kilograms, with one registered with Glamorous Diva tipping the scales at 130 kilograms.
Kakisako, who has been engaged in the practice for up to three years, has reportedly admitted to the allegations, saying that supplying actresses to the clubs had a “synergistic effect” with DVD sales.
“With AV actresses working at the prostitution club, sales of films rose,” Kakiseko said, as reported by the Sankei Shimbun (Oct. 17).
Law enforcement also arrested Chizu Nakao, a 36-year-old club manager, and one other suspect for violating the Anti-Prostitution Law.
