Kobe ramen shop owner found dead with apparent gunshot wound to head

HYOGO (TR) – Hyogo Prefectural Police launched a murder investigation after the male owner of a ramen shop in Kobe City was found dead with an apparent gunshot wound on Saturday, reports NHK (April 22).

At around 11:00 a.m., a female staff member of the shop, located in Nagata Ward, alerted emergency services. “The owner is collapsed and bleeding,” she said.

Emergency personnel arriving at the scene found the man with a wound to his head that appeared to have been the result of being shot with a pistol. He was later confirmed dead.

At the time, there were no customers inside the premises. The owner is believed to be a gang member, police said.

Prior to the discovery, the owner ordered the female staff member to go shopping. When she returned, she found him collapsed inside.
