SHIZUOKA (TR) – Law enforcement divisions in Shizuoka and Ibaraki prefectures are investigating a series of vehicle-ramming incidents that have take place over a two-day period at offices of organized crime groups, reports Fuji News Network (Oct. 10).
At 6:50 a.m. on Wednesday, a four-ton truck reversed into the garage door of the headquarters of the Kokuryoyaikka, an affiliate gang of the Yamaguchi-gumi, located in Naka Ward of Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka. About 20 minutes later, another truck rammed a wall of an office of an affiliate organization of the same gang.
In both cases, the vehicles were abandoned after the collisions. Police have confirmed that the vehicles used in both incidents had been stolen.
The day before, Ibaraki Prefectural Police arrested Fuyuki Kagamida, a 23-year-old member of the Yamaguchi-gumi, for allegedly driving a two-ton truck into a vehicle parked in front of an office of a gang affiliated with the Kobe Yamaguchi-gumi in Ishioka City. He has been charged with causing property damage.
Police suspect that the incidents are connected to a dispute that began following last year’s formation of the Kobe Yamaguchi-gumi as a rival gang to the Yamaguchi-gumi.
