HYOGO (TR) – Investigative sources with the Hyogo Prefectural Police revealed that a pistol and ammunition have been found inside a small bag sunk off the coast of Awaji City, reports the Sankei Shimbun (July 20).

On July 17 at 4:40 p.m., a male fisherman from Osaka retrieved the bag from a depth of about three meters and one meter offshore from a wharf in the Shizuki area. The bag, measuring 15 centimeters in height and 20 centimeters in length, contained one revolver and about 10 rounds of ammunition.

The location of the discovery is about 400 meters from the headquarters of the Kyoyu-kai. The office is also the headquarters of the Kobe Yamaguchi-gumi, which formed last year following the dissension of multiple gangs, including the Kyoyu-kai, from the Yamaguchi-gumi.

Police are investigating whether the weapons are connected to the Kobe Yamaguchi-gumi.
