HOKKAIDO (TR) – As a part of an investigation into a car that rammed into the home of of gang boss, Hokkaido Prefectural Police have arrested a gangster from a rival organization for ordering the attack, reports Nippon News Network (Mar. 4).
Hidenobu Naruse, a 52-year-old member of the Kyokudo-kai, a subordinate gang of the Yamaguchi-gumi, allegedly ordered a fellow gang member to drive a vehicle into the home of the chairman of a Kobe Yamaguchi-gumi affiliate in Asahikawa City.
Akira Matsubara carried out the attack at approximately 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The force of the vehicle crushed one of the building’s garage doors.
Hokkaido police subsequently arrested Matsubara, also a member of the Kyokudo-kai, on charges of inflicting property damage.
The incident is one in a series of scuffles between the Yamaguchi-gumi and the Kobe Yamaguchi-gumi that have taken place in recent weeks. The Kobe Yamaguchi-gumi formed following the dissolution of the Yamaguchi-gumi last summer.
Naruse heads the Naruse-gumi, which is directly affiliated with the Kyokudo-kai. Police have seized personal and computers mobile phones connected to the Kyokudo-kai as a part of the investigation into the incident.
