1 dead after stabbing at Zushi beach; yakuza involvement suspected

KANAGAWA (TR) – A stabbing incident on Sunday evening on a beach in Zushi City has left one man dead, reports the Sankei Shimbun (July 15).

At approximately 8:30 p.m., prefectural police received an emergency call from a woman who said a man had been stabbed in front of a beach house. The man, 30, was bleeding from his head.

Another male, in his 20s, was found to have also been stabbed on a nearby road. He received wounds to his abdomen and back.

The two victims were transferred to a local hospital, where the 30-year-old died two hours later.

Officers are suspect that organized crime members were involved in the stabbings.
