KUMAMOTO (TR) – Police have arrested a 17-year-old high school student in Yatsushiro City accused of soiling a female classmate’s personal belongings with his bodily fluids two years ago, reports Kumamoto Kenmin TV (Aug. 24).
The suspect, whose name has been withheld because he is a minor, was arrested on Monday on suspicion of property damage.
According to the Yatsushiro Police Station, the incident took place in September two years ago when both teens were attending a middle school in the southern part of the prefecture. The boy allegedly targeted the female student by depositing his bodily fluids onto her gym clothes and a toothbrush set, which were stored inside a drawer in her classroom desk.
The crime came to light when the victim’s mother contacted authorities. “There is a strange odor coming from my gym clothes and toothbrush set my daughter left at school, and they are discolored,” she told police.
Following interviews with school personnel and subsequent forensic analysis of the soiled items, the teenage boy emerged as the primary suspect.
Upon questioning, the boy denied the allegations, reportedly telling investigators, “I have no idea what you are talking about.”
Police are continuing their investigation, noting that the female student has filed reports regarding other similar incidents of damage to her belongings.
