AICHI (TR) – A woman walking on a sidewalk in Nagoya was left fighting for her life after a man plummeted from a building and landed directly on top of her early Sunday, reports Chukyo TV (July 19).
At approximately 1:00 a.m., emergency services received a call from a passerby in the Sakae 5-chome area of Naka Ward. “A man has fallen on top of a woman,” the caller reported, according to police.
Investigators believe the man, whose age remains unknown, plunged from what appears to be a 12-story residential building before crushing the female pedestrian, who is believed to be in her 20s.
Both individuals were rushed to a local hospital following the incident. Medical staff report that both remain unconscious and in critical condition.
Police are currently rushing to confirm the identities of both individuals while investigating the exact circumstances that led to the man’s fall from the building.
