Mie streamer arrested while broadcasting midnight break-in at school

MIE (TR) – Mie Prefectural Police have arrested a 41-year-old female video streamer after she livestreamed herself breaking into an elementary school in the dead of night, reports Nagoya TV (June 11).

The suspect, a resident of Iga City, is accused of unlawful entry after trespassing at a public elementary school in Kumano City shortly after midnight on Thursday.

According to police, the woman documented her own crime by broadcasting live video of herself wandering through the dark school building. The stunt was cut short when a concerned viewer watching the livestream immediately contacted the authorities.

During police questioning on suspicion of trespassing, the woman admitted to the allegations. “There is no mistake that I entered the school building,” she told investigators.

Police are currently investigating her motives for the late-night broadcast and trying to determine exactly how she managed to gain entry to the facility.
