Tokyo man suspected of sex with disabled teen girl met on dating app

TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a company employee for allegedly committing indecent acts against a disabled female high school student he met through a dating app, reports Nippon News Network (May 11).

On June 3, 2025, Hiromu Shiraishi is suspected of committing indecent acts against the female high school student, then 16, in a park near his home. He also filmed the act with a smartphone.

Upon his arrest on suspicion of violating the Child Welfare Act, Shiraishi, who lives in Setagaya Ward, denied the charges, claiming that the student had asked him to film it.

The girl suffers from ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). Shiraishi is believed to have met the student through a dating app. During the alleged act, the suspect filmed it for nearly 10 minutes using the student’s smartphone.

Shiraishi is also suspected of selling the filmed video to about 10 people through the student’s social media account, earning approximately 80,000 yen.

The case came to light when the girl’s mother consulted with the police after speaking to her daughter. According to police, the girl has difficulty refusing requests from people she likes due to ASD. Shiraishi was reportedly aware of this.

The girl stated that he wanted to her to engage in papakatsu, meaning compensated dating. She said, “He told me, ‘Earn money through papakatsu or selling [indecent] videos and give [the money] to me.’ I sent him the money. I liked him and didn’t want to end the relationship.”
