SHIZUOKA (TR) – Police in Shizuoka City have arrested a 50-year-old dentist for the fifth time on suspicion of committing indecent acts against female patients and filming the encounters, reports Fuji News Network (May 15).
The unnamed suspect, who runs a dental clinic in Suruga Ward, was served a fresh arrest warrant on May 14 for non-consensual indecency and the illicit filming of sexual acts.
According to police, the dentist allegedly instructed a teenage female patient seeking orthodontic treatment to perform “tongue exercises” early March. He then forced her to lick his genitals while recording the act on his smartphone.
When presented with video evidence found on his phone, the suspect offered an ambiguous confession, telling investigators, “I think that’s right.”
Fifth arrest
The arrest marks the fifth time the man has been apprehended since January 28 for a string of similar offenses targeting women and minors. He currently faces multiple indictments, including violations of the Law for Punishing Acts Related to Child Prostitution and Child Pornography.
The investigation into the latest incident began in early February when one teenage victim’s guardian contacted police after seeing news reports of the dentist’s initial arrest, fearing her daughter had also been targeted.
Shocking details of the dentist’s modus operandi were revealed during his first trial hearing on April 27, which covered two of his earlier indictments. The defendant admitted to the charges, telling the judge there was “no mistake.”
No other staff members present
Prosecutors outlined a calculated and predatory scheme. The man allegedly scheduled appointments with the victims on days the clinic was closed to ensure no other staff members were present.
Under the guise of routine dental treatment, he placed a towel over the upper half of the patients’ faces to block their vision, instructed them to move their tongues, and then forced his penis into their mouths.
In one instance captured on video, the court heard that the dentist ejaculated into a victim’s mouth and subsequently forced her to brush her teeth while his bodily fluids were still inside.
“Strictest possible punishment”
Statements from the traumatized victims were read aloud in court. “It was a vicious crime that abused his position as a dentist,” one statement read. “I remember it every day, even when I don’t want to. I want him to receive the strictest possible punishment.”
Police suspect the dentist is a chronic offender who routinely used medical treatment as a cover for sexual abuse. Authorities are continuing to investigate further crimes, as several other former patients have come forward to report similar assaults.
The defendant’s next court hearing is scheduled for June 2.
