KAGOSHIMA — Police in Kagoshima City have arrested a 54-year-old woman on suspicion of trespassing and assault after she broke into a stranger’s home and slapped him in the face, reports Nippon News Network (May 7).
Shortly after 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, the 29-year-old victim contacted emergency services. The resident said, “There is an unknown woman in my house.”
According to police, the suspect, a self-proclaimed company employee residing in the city, was completely unacquainted with the homeowner. Immediately after the man placed the emergency call, the woman allegedly struck him across the face with an open hand.
Officers rushed to the residence and apprehended the woman on the spot.
During questioning, the suspect admitted to the allegations, telling investigators, “There is no mistake that I slapped him.”
The victim did not sustain any injuries, and police have confirmed that no items were stolen from the property.
Authorities are currently investigating how the woman gained entry to the residence and her motive for the bizarre intrusion and subsequent attack.
