TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a 22-year-old man over the alleged sexual assault a middle school girl he met on social media, reports Nippon News Network (Apr. 8).
According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, the suspect, Ren Nakaoka, a company employee, is suspected of sexually assaulting the girl at a hotel in Tokyo last month.
Nakaoka has reportedly admitted to the charges.
The two met through social media. It is believed that on the day of the incident, Nakaoka lured the girl to the hotel saying, “I won’t do anything, let’s go.” He then committed the crime.
The incident came to light when the girl reported to the Tokyo police that she had been subjected to indecent acts by someone she met on social media.
